It’s warm and friendly and full of love, good music and beautiful hair. The salon is a beautiful space we love and tend to daily. 10 years ago Salon Del Mar was born and we have been blessed to work with very talented people, past and present. My training has stretched from Florida to Seattle and Los Angeles to New York. I’m inspired by all kinds of beauty and the human spirit.

I am happy to bring my craft to Salon Del Mar because it is a place where one can truly be oneself. After I put all my effort into cutting and placement, seeing the final product is the greatest part. The razor is one of my favorite cutting tools and I'm very comfortable cutting fades. I watch how your hair moves and respect how it wants to fall naturally. I strive to create haircuts that look good with or without styling products. I think of hair as sculpture and I think everyone has their own style just waiting to be expressed. Hairdressing is what comes naturally to me. “Piecey,” cute, textured, and colorful hair has always stood out to me and fueled my artistry. Anime styling has been the primary inspiration of my hairdressing career. Japanese art and culture, both ancient and modern, particularly hand-drawn and computer animation, have always inspired me to pursue what I love. Whether you are modest, adventurous, or needing help finding your hairstyle, I am here to offer insight to discover the right look to suit your lifestyle. I see hair as a special element of everyone’s persona, for it represents who you are. I am from a Native American Tribe called Kewa (also known as Santo Domingo Pueblo) from an area south of Santa Fe. Inspiration feeds my work and my work, in turn, inspires me. I gather inspiration from travel and I love to experience different cultures.

In my free time, I love playing outside with my dogs and family. Need color correction or a whole new look? I love to be a catalyst for transformation. I endeavor to help you say something about yourself with your hair that feels authentic and exciting. Hair can be a powerful form of self-expression. My dynamic with individual clients is as diverse, unique and natural as my approach to cut, style and color. I keep current with all the latest techniques in the hair artistry realm by attending classes offered by specialists from around the world.īlending street styles with timeless elegance, I strive to generate looks that you can easily recreate at home. I apprenticed under masters at Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon, and assisted stage artists at Paul Mitchell. I have two decades of experience behind the chair and a variety of trainings under my belt. I have a genuine excitement for all things hair. When you sit in my chair, I do all in my power to meet your needs and leave you with a feeling of beauty and ease. I have a great love for styling and blowdrying, it’s like architecture to me. I energize my work with frequent trainings in top tier techniques from Davines, Aveda, Wella, Framesi and more. I deepened my versatility in meeting client needs as co-owner of Elements in Balance, an Aveda concept salon in Tucson. My expertise grew while at LaBelle Day Spas and Salons in Palo Alto and San Francisco. On the salon’s design team, I analyzed and anticipated trends and created seasonal looks for advertising and editorial work. At the Gadabout Salon Spas, I developed my understanding of iconic style. I launched my career at several salons in Tucson, Arizona.

My artistic vision and technical precision in cut and color derive from a 20 year career as a stylist, forecaster and salon innovator. My initial interest in fashion design quickly led me to my true passion: hair. I am very pleased to be using Davines superior color and products and to be joining the very talented and inspiring team at Salon Del Mar. Even after 30 years I am still excited about the creativity nature of my industry. Art and geometry are an integral part of what I do every day. I love art and I consider myself an artist. During my second year in Santa Fe I was honored to be selected by The New Mexican for their special make-over edition. While in Kansas City I owned and operated a unique salon and art space called One Block West Salon where we hosted exhibits of local artists. In 1994 I became a color specialist/educator for Framise USA.

I love my career! I started cutting hair when I was 12, earned my barber license at 17, and later became a cosmetologist.
